Dr. Jacqueline Zapata

Dr. Jacqueline Zapata, O.D. is a bilingual optometrist specializing in medical and refractive eye care with over eight years of clinical experience serving patients throughout South Florida. She currently practices as a Refractive Optometrist at TLC of Coral Gables, where she provides pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing laser vision correction and other refractive procedures. Her professional expertise includes the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, comprehensive eye care, dry eye management, and refractive surgery co-management. Prior to joining TLC Coral Gables, she practiced as a Medical Optometrist at Aran Eye Associates for nearly five years.

Dr. Zapata earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry and completed a residency in Ocular Disease through Aran Eye Associates in affiliation with Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.

Throughout her career, Dr. Zapata has remained actively involved in the optometric community as a member of both the Florida Optometric Association and the Miami-Dade Optometric Association. She has also participated in vision screening and research initiatives focused on identifying refractive errors and visual dysfunctions in children.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Zapata is passionate about health, fitness, and family. An avid runner, she has completed two Miami Half Marathons and enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through running and spinning. She is a proud mother of two boys and is married to an ophthalmologist, sharing a family commitment to advancing eye health and patient care. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Zapata provides compassionate, personalized care to the diverse communities she serves.
